Instructor Program

Born out of a demand from various parts of the world for more people to have access to the tools of  Lewis Deep Democracy, the Level 1 Instructor Program was introduced in 2009.

Instructor Program Level 1

The Level 1 Instructor Program will train, skill and equip you to teach the 8 modules of the Level 1 Course. You will:

  • Learn how to present the Level 1 course in a manner that is clear and applicable to the needs of the participants who attend your courses.
  • Develop and hone your Lewis Deep Democracy skills to effectively use and demonstrate the tools you are teaching.
  • Develop your metaskills to enable you to read the fabric of a group in order to create and maintain a safe crucible for learning to take place. Although the Level 1 Course is primarily the teaching of theory and the Lewis Deep Democracy toolkit, there is inevitably an emotional journey that accompanies the learning.

Pre-requisites for this Program:

  • Completion of the Lewis Deep Democracy courses Levels 1 - 4.
  • An I-Know-Me (IKM) personality assessment.
  • The Personal Development Program.

Overview of the Program:

Phase 1: Self-learning via training manuals and video material.

Phase 2: Online ‘boot-camp’ where you practice teaching the course material supported by a Level 1 Instructor.

Phase 3: You deliver two Level 1 courses with in-room supervision by a Level 1 Instructor, followed by online Elder supervision.

Phase 4: You deliver one Level 1 course on your own, followed by online Elder supervision.

Phase 5: Evaluation and accreditation process.

Phase 6: Qualifying and accreditation involve an annual Facilitator License & Supervision Agreement with Deep Democracy Pty Ltd.

Instructor Program Level 2

The purpose of the Level 2 Instructor Program is for you to embed the theory and tools taught in the Level 2 course, and become skilled in transferring the theory and skills to participants.

Through the training, you will:

  • Learn how to present the Level 2 material in a manner that is clear and applicable to the needs of participants who attend your courses.
  • Hone your integration of  the Lewis Deep Democracy toolkit to seamlessly use and demonstrate the tools you are teaching.
  •  Further develop your metaskills to enable you to read the fabric of a group to create and maintain a safe crucible for the learning to take place.

Pre-requisites to applying for this Program:

  • Completion of the Level 1 Instructor Program
  • An I-Know-Me (IKM) personality assessment completed within the last 5 years.

Overview of the Program:

Instructor Program Level 4

The purpose of the Level 4 Instructor Program is to train, skill and embed in you the theory and tools taught in Level 4 course and become competent in delivering the course content.

Through the training, you will:

  • Learn how to present the Level 4 teaching material in a manner that is clear and applicable to the needs of participants who attend your courses.
  • Hone your Lewis Deep Democracy toolkit to effectively use and demonstrate the tools you are teaching.
  • Further develop your metaskills and your ability to be present and aware, to enable you to read the fabric of a group to create and maintain a safe crucible for the learning to take place.

  • Completion of the Level 3 Instructor Program.
  • An I-Know-Me (IKM) personality assessment completed within the last 5 years.

Phase 6: Updating of your annual Instructor License & Supervision Agreement with Deep Democracy Pty Ltd. to incorporate your license as a Level 4 Instructor
